![]() After downloading the XP Service Pack I could not launch Limewire 2.0.4. . The uninstaller would not work so I tried to download 2.7.13. It would not launch either. I got the message "could not locate suitable Java Runtime environment." I downloaded it but when I try to launch Limewire nothing happens. ALso I can not enter Java Chatrooms. I think the problem is I did not uninstall Limewire and Java runtime completely. I woudl sure appreciate help. |

![]() TL, Did Limewire direct you to a site to download Java? If so accept it and download the version directed. I have had the best luck with XP and Java 1.3.1_04. Another thing you might try is open Java from control panel, select the browser tab and if either IE or netscape are checked uncheck them. Good Luck, Norm |

![]() Thank you for your reply. Yes it did direct me to down the Java program which I did, but for some reason it does not replace the old one. When I try to go to control panel to open Java I get a message saying the system cannot find the registry key specified. I believe the old Java program was not deinstalled properly but I do not know how to correct that. Any ideas? |

![]() Terry: It sounds like you hava a Java issue. I would go to Control Panel - Add/Remove Programs and uninstall Java. Then start Limewire and download the Java version directed by Limewire. Good Luck. Norm |
