LittleBit577 | February 2nd, 2003 12:21 PM | Can't Connect! I need some MAJOR Help here! I'm totally clueless as to how to work this program and all I want to do is get some music!! Anyway what am I doing wrong because I'm connected to the internet and everything but when I click Connect on the LimeWire Screen it won't connect. The little red thing on the bottom that says Sharing Files turns green for about 5 seconds and then goes red again. How do I connect properly?? Thanks a million! MUCH LOVE TO ANYONE WHO CAN HELP! |
kcole333 | February 3rd, 2003 05:15 PM | connection prob I am having the exact same problem. I am connected to the internet and my computer supports the gnutella network. But Limewire won't connect! Any suggestions? |
Dragonwing | February 4th, 2003 08:28 PM | Connection troubles I can't get connected either. I tried that configuration thing in the FAQ section and it told me that gnutelle was ok to go. I even downloaded the updated version. What's wrong? Thanks a bunch! |
rupe | February 5th, 2003 06:39 AM | I also am having the exact same problem so this must mean there is a major problem with Gnutella. I wanted to post to a moderator so we can get resolution but they request only a specific set of problems be reported and it doesn't include connection problems. I just hope a moderator is aware of this already. |
smashedpumpkin | February 7th, 2003 09:51 AM | me too! the old version worked fine, what has gone wrong?? is this ever going to be fixed cuz it seems like loads of people are having the same trouble.... arrgh |
bhowell | February 10th, 2003 10:13 AM | R U behind a firewall? I am having the same problem, but I am pretty sure it is because I am connected behind a firewall for which the default port is blocked. Could that be the case with the rest of you? |
SuperZaque | February 10th, 2003 12:10 PM | Can't Connect Limewire is trying about a million different connections and can't get any of them to connect! Am i doing something wrong - should the FTP or HTTP proxies be configured differently - or does limewire not support proxies? |
trap_jaw | February 10th, 2003 12:25 PM | LimeWire currently does not support proxies. Without a direct connection to the internet you will not be able to use LimeWire. |
