WHy can't I connect?? (I know, I've read everything already!)
 

i just downloaded 2.9, and I have earthlink internet. But when I try to use limewire, it doesn't work for some reason. I clicked on the "connect" button under "file", and nothing at all happens. I'm wondering how I can get it to work. I restarted my computer, too, all that good stuff.

my bad, the red light turns green for about half a second. then turns red again right away.

hard to tell without specifics about your system.

what OS?
dsl or modem?
are you behind a firewall?
do you use a router?

I got it to work, I think that I was rushing the system or something, and clicking too many things, freezing it up. Thank you for your patience in dealing with people like me! Seriously, very cool.
