![]() I have read many of the posts regarding the red dot problem. My version sounds much like the rest.... For a few days, Limewire worked well after installation. I am a dial up user on a Gateway computer running off of windows XPj. I use AOL 8.0. To my knowledge no firewall on my computer. i have tried to follow the instructions to check my router configuration, but don't really know where to start. The search I did on routers indicated that Windows XP is using an automatic non user indicated 6to4 system. After reading the material on that and not understanding one bit of it, I need some help. Would someone out there be willing to baby step me through this? Thanks for your time. And a little joke for your effort," A neutron walks into a bar and asks for a drink. He asks the bartender how much. The bartender says,"For you, no charge." |

![]() Further to the original posting, I wanted to specify that my problem with the red dot is the one that appears often on this list that I bring up livewire, and it displays the red dot. When I hit connect under the file menu, it turns green for a split second and then returns to red. soooo......any ideas on what a girl can do? |
