Default connection help please

I have a windows xp computer with a dsl connection. Limewire opens but will not connect even if I use the connect function under file. I do not have any firewalls operating but there is one called sygate but i dont know if it works or if it is on. I would appreciate any feedback on this, thanks.

Taking a google search for sygate, they make firewalls. Sounds like you have an active firewall. Find the firewall/router utility that came with "sygate" and open up portsr 6346.
