It appears to work on my version of WinXP. Are you sure the file isn't write-protected?

No, they are not write-protected. Some of them have missing info for example the date of release was October 8, 2003 now says Octo. If I try to change them, nothing, it reverts to the wrong error filled info.

Also the buttons on the tools window are lower and appear to be cut off. I can send a screen shot ...

Cleaned out Limewire and reinstalled, which cleared up the button problem, however the annotation problem still exsists.

Looking into it ... thanks for reporting the problem, nedflanders.

Are you attempting to edit an existing tag or add a new one?

Hi nedflanders --

Are you sure that the file you're annotating has write permissions (or the folder its in has write permissions)? I've added a check for this in our development version, so that it is set as writeable before attempting to write. That was causing a problem for me in testing.

Thanks.

I am trying to correct and add info to the file. For example the date was not included, so I enter the date October 8, 2000, but after hitting save the change only has "Octo" since there was no date in the first place, it has to have write permissions or it would not have changed.

Cheers,

Ned

Hi nedflanders --

I believe the problem is that the 'Year' field only allows 4 characters. It is intended solely for '2000', '1981', etc... We'll fix the input screen to only allow 4 characters.

Thanks.

It is still behaving in an odd manner. I understand the part about the date, although I would like to be able to add the release date in full like I could in previous versions. Sometimes it works the first time and other times I have to keep trying to update the info and it finally takes.

Cheers,

Ned
