can't connect
 

ok, so now I got past the javaw.exe problem, but now when I run Limewire it won't connect. The light turns red after a few seconds and it still says disconnected, no files available

My internet connection is fine (obviously), so what can it be?

I'm running alongside you! Fixed the javaw.exe problem and managed to connect once. Have sorta managed to connect one other time, but after a minute or two it disconnects and won't respond to a click on the CONNECT button, which means I have to shut it down and reopen it.

The "problem" is that it takes "time" to connect. You can not just press the connect button and hope that it will immediately connect. This isn't just for LimeWire. This is for Bearshare, gnotella, furi, phex, newtella, gnutella, toadnode, and everything else out there.

Thanks for the reply. Actually, I DO gove it time to connect. I go to the Connection tab and watch it doing it's thing. But the problem remains...even when it manages to connect for a minute, it disconnects soon afterwards. Still looking for an explanation.
