I'm a new, first-time user. This is a basic question that demands an answer. Can I use Limewire from behind a "corporate" type firewall?

I just installed Limewire and was all excited -- until I tried my first search. The "search" tab remains shadowed at all times, no matter what I try. Will one of you gurus please let me in on the secret? FYI, I have a T1 connection. Thanks.

It remains shadowed because LimeWire isnt connected.
BTW: You've posted in the wrong Board.

If the corporate firewall blocks Gnutella traffic which is quite common, then you wont be able to use it from your work place.
