Question connection problem

I am running on mac os x 10.2.3 and i was wondering if there was a reason that limewire is not connecting. i know that wveryone else is having the connecton problem as well and was wondering if anyone knew which version is better for os x or if there are other gnutella run software that would be better for my comp. also...has anyone emailed limewire about this problem. It seems as though it is pretty major and affecting more than just a few people or just a few operating systems. thanks guys!!!

It's working fine for many, and the people who are working on the LW project (paid and volunteer) usually know what's going on. Connection problems usually turn out to be individual system problems, or like me, ISP related. If there were a major bug in connections, there'd be a 100,000 users who'd be writing, not 10, right?

If you are running 10.2.3 you missed the Mac OSX java update and quite a bit more. Running Apple Menu->System Preferences->Software Update should help (I usually repair permissions after major updates too). 10.2.6 is up to date today.

If you need to troubleshoot your system, http://www.macattorney.com/tutorial.html is pretty useful.

Cheers

Once you've upgraded your system an LW, post back and there's lots of good people willing to help get you sharing with whatever app you want.
