![]() Have been using Lime Wire for two years with no problems. Suddenly in the last two weeks, although Lime Wire comes up, it will not connect. When I try to click on the connect button nothing happens. All it says is: "Running the Gnutella Network (Disconnected/no files available)." Sometimes, when I check the connections box, there are others connected. other times, not. Once, this week It was connected when I opened and I was able to download files. Since then, no. I'm using a Mac G3 Powerbook, 9.2. with a cable modem connection. This connection has been working fine. I've downloaded the latest free software. What gives? This is baffling. |

![]() Thanks. I'll check with the ISP, which happens to be Earthlink/Time Warner Cable in New York, in case anyone else knows about it. I had no problem using Earthlink dial up (except for it slowness) and had no trouble using the cable service until very recently. We'll see. |

![]() I have the same problem but I think ther is a bug in LimeWire Pro: After installing Lime Wire Pro 3.4.7 under Mac OS 10.2.2 I had one connection to gnutella network and when I tried next day I got : "Running the Gnutella Network (Disconnected/no files available)" (in German because it is much easier for me to use German:-)) I removed LimeWire and repeated the installation but with same poor result. But when I launch my old LimeWire under Mac OS 9.2.2 no problems appear! That´s why I think there is a bug in the programm and not with the ISP. (My ISP is t-online in Germany) |

![]() I got an answer from Pro support: "Hi Udo, The LimeWire application has no control over whether your computer can connect to the Gnutella network. Also, OS X has a built-in firewall, which may need to be configured to accept Gnutella traffic. Please try the following: -Uninstall all versions of LimeWire, using the Uninstaller in LimeWire's folder. -Delete all LimeWire aliases and installers from your desktop and Dock, and remove all instances of the installer from the download manager of your Internet browser. -Reboot your computer. -Go back to the LimeWire Pro download page, and download the installer to your desktop. -Reinstall LimeWire Pro. Thanks, Zenzele" I will try it! |
