Unhappy no connection

I have windows xp. I have deleted and uninstalled limewire 3 times and reinstalled 3 times. I have deleted everything I know how. Once reinstalled I stay connected for about 5 min. max.. It seems once I start downloading music it disconnects and I cannot get reconnected. I have dial up service would that be a problem? If not does anyone know what the prblem is? PLEASE HELP!!!!!

modem connections can be flakey, and good connections at a premium. There is hope for better connection stability soon, but in the meantime, try cleaning out your partial downloads and limit your downloads/searches to one or two at a time. Making your searches as specific as possible should also help.

If hosts are dropping your connections, you can encourage them to keep the connections alive by sharing files they want. That way others will also work to keep the connections to you alive.

Smile connection good

THANK YOU!!!! to steif from loc. can.. I did as you said and tried to define my searches better and I can download one song at a time without being disconnected. I tried to download two at a time and I get disconnected immediately. One is fine for now I'm just happy this has worked.

Red face NO CONNECTION

I replied in haste. Finished downloading 8 songs individually left the internet returned and cannot get a connection. The songs are sitting in my shared file and I have nothing in the search window,mp3list etc., everything is cleaned up. Any other ideas out there?
