Not able to get a steady connection.
 

I use to be able to down load music with no problem when you could do it for free. Now that i pay to down load music i can not seem to get a good connection and if i do happen to connect to a source my searches come back with nothing. I am extremely frustrated and sick of all the hours i have spent on the computer trying to figure this problem out. I am on a dsl connection i do have pc-cillin but when i downloaded this program i checked the step to push ip address through without anyone else having to do the same. Anyone know what to do? I am about ready to give up!

You have to make sure that the ports 6346-6348 are open on your computer for both incoming and outgoing traffic. This means opening up the ports on any software firewall you have, as well on any hardware firewall you have (including routers).


Also, your problem may be as simple as that you are trying to search right when Limewire starts up. It usually takes Limewire a couple minutes to establish stable, good connections that you can search from.
