Question Limewire crashes other net apps?

So, I just started using LW (downloaded most recent version) and it seems to work OK, except I notice that often when I use it I'll lose functionality on other net based apps (IE. AOL-IM, Y!m, iTunes music store) until I reboot.

I'm using XP Pro, with a 80211.g wireless Buffalo Tech router and NICard on a cable modem.

Thoughts?

I seem to have the same problem. LW pro works on Mac OS 9..2 until the program jams. LW doesn't work anymore, only my mouse moves. Force Quit helps, but my internet connection is lost untill I restart my computer.
Any ideas??

Default Yep

Me too! After installing 3.8.4 Pro I had nothing but problems. My internet would lock up almost every time I started LW. I would have to hard reset my DSL modem. Disconnect Power. Then I was ok. I noticed that LW was changing my IP address. When I forced my IP to what my DSL modem was looking for then LW worked fine. But, I don't have the DSN setting for my ISP so I couldn't hit the net with IE.

After upgrading to 3.8.5 Pro today, things seem better. We'll see.

Still love the product but the bugs are annoying.

Default Same Problem!!!

Same Problem here!!! I´m working with MacOS X Panther and almost every time I open limewire it kicks the modem and I can´t go online. I always have to reboot the modem, then the browser works again, but if I try to open limewire it happens again.
Can someone please help?
