Connect goes off during downloads...stays off

[] I have unstalled Limewire and reinstalled, I have deleted files, I have closed firewalls, I have installed the latest version (3.7.7), I reboot my comp...and nothing is working. I am running Windows XP.
Here's what's happening:
I delete LW, reinstall, and it runs for about 3 hours. Then, my connect light turns red. I try to reconnect and the light flashes green and then red again.
Does anyone have any ideas? :confused:
