 keeping a descent connection  I am using xp on pentium 4 unit and a dial up modem,don't have the luxury yet of dsl.everytime that i go to download my connection level keeps dropping. I can start of with a turboed level but sooner of later I loose that level and wind up at poor or fair. What do I need to do to correct this? I also have forced my IP and closed my firewall. | sorry I can't be more helpful--looks like the XP'ers are not around just now. All I can suggest is to search these forums for "56K modem" and see if someone has some tips. here's one example http://www.gnutellaforums.com/showth...threadid=23624 |
