Surprise CANT CONNECT Well Ive read the previous threads about people like myself who cannot connect, when i click on connect from the file pull down nothing happens First my info Windows XP home DSL sbcglobal Limewire PRO 3.8.10 no firewalls Norton Anitvirus 2003 (if that matters) What ive done erased the .limewire folder like one message said to do, didnt helped I didnt have the windows xp firewall enabled so that couldnt be the problem cursed at the computer but that didnt work either I called the sbc glocal help line they referred me to there help site which just warned me about spyware involved in filesharing, which lends me to believe that sbc does allow filesharing so it must be some other problem that is causing my trouble. I know some things about computers but when it comes to filesharing programs im in the dark Please help me |
This may seem weird but I am repling to my our message ALL of a sudden it started to work, not sure why or if it will last but i now believe that if you curse long enough at the computer then it causes things to happen:) |
Cursing is fine, just don't hit anything. I have an impatient friend who, after continuously getting the "blue screen of death" thought that a nice punch on the tower should get his PC to work again. He proceded with this course of action and needless to say, the PC made a bzzzzzzzt! death "rattle" and shut down. It never got back up ever again... |

I then turned the firewall off still no change! Im getting very frustrated here please Help!! lol! |
