Connection Problems Problems getting the LimeWire or WireShare program connecting to the Gnutella network.
(not about connecting to files, that is a Download/Upload Problems section issue.) Please supply system details as described in the forum rules.

You should only get this message when you are not connected to the Internet. Are you sure that your Internet connection is live when you start LimeWire. LimeWire will not automatically connect you to the network. As I mentioned on another thread, LimeWire automatically searches for a free port when it starts. It is quite unlikely that all of the ports that it tries are being used and probably more likely that the connection to the network is not active. I would never, of course, rule out the possibility that there is a problem that we are unaware of, however. |
