Cannot connect :confused: :mad: I have been trying for a week now to get connected to Limewire! I have done everything in the forums, have done everything on the web site and have even been on the phone twice with my internet provider where they have opened ports to my router. I have ports 6346 and 6347 available. Are there more ports? Why can I still not get limewire to connect. I am so frustrated! |
6346 should be enough. What version LW are you using (4.0.4 is current), and what OS are you using? |
I have 4.0.3 and I have Windows XP OS. I have 6346, 6347 and 6345 ports added. Help me!!! |
Peerless knows Windows (I'm on OSX). I'll drop him a message. In the meantime, try a quick check of http://www3.limewire.com:6346/ Does it say "success"? |
sick of it I am just sick of messing with it. I have emailed Limewire and gotten no help at all. So, I have downloaded Ares and it is working great for me. I guess I will just move on. Thanks for all your help though! |
I had version 3.8.10 and it worked fine, now i've installed the 4.0.3 and i can only get poor connection and then it's getting lost... I have to switch back to 3.8.10 because it's works! |

sick of it Yea, I just got sick of trying anymore. I was on the phone with my internet provider and everything. Limewire didn't make any attempt to reply to my emails so I just went elsewhere. Julie |
Yes. I did do that. I had to enter ports, ect. I have tried everything. Even my internet provider went in and tried to fix it through my router. That is fine. I am using Ares with no problems at all. I was so frustrated. Thanks for your tips and advice. I do appreciate it all! |
