![]() When i first connect to limewire 404 using my AOL 9 and the free macafee firewall all is well and can remain so for hours at a time. The problem is that i then get an error message saying that its possible that my firewall is blocking access to limewire and closes my connection to limewire. How can this be happening after running for several hours without a problem. If its a known problem can someone give me the solution. I have looked around the forums but other people are having problems connecting which is not really the problem that i have. I can connect ok but cant stay there as long as i would like. Thanks for reading this post and i look forward to reading the replies. If any. |

![]() Nope, sorry. This only happened to me once. Weirdest thing is that I have no firewall whatsoever so I was kinda surprised. Did you try clicking Connect which is under the File tab (never worked for me)? Also, it might be something with your ISP: if you told me that your connection to the net drops entirely then I would have told you that it is most surely your ISP, because I cannot stay connected a little over 24 hours since my ISP automatically shuts my connection down.

![]() I too have the dropped connection with AOL 9.0. I disable the MacAfee Firewall but still get disconnected after a short period. AOL 9.0 however also stops responding and and I have to use task manager to shut it down, but then shutdown hangs at saving settings. |

![]() Ok, for both of you: I may or may not be right on the ISP lead. It seems that you are not the only ones having problems with the AOL 9.0. Just read the sticky above if you haven't already done that.
