![]() I have Windows XP on with Zone Alarm. I start up no problem and downloads start out just fine. After about 5-10 minutes my computer freezes up and I have to turn the power off to reboot. I also get an error message that Limewire cannot connect. Why is this happening and how do I resolve it? I tried the other fixes where people couldn't log on at all. I don't have that problem, I just can't get it to remain logged on. Please help. |

![]() I had the same problem a week or so ago. I originally thought it was a problem with Opera, but narrowed it down to ZoneAlarm. Did you get the most recent update? That's when it started bothering me. It just coincided with the Opera install. I'd found no solutions, so I switched to Norton Internet Security. I'm trying to get that to work right now. |

![]() Am having a similar problem. Also have XP, and have Norton Anti-Virus and Norton Personal Firewall installed. Am also an amateur, but as far as I can figure, if it was a problem with the firewall, would not be able to connect in the first place. There doesn't appear to be any pattern, as sometimes I can be downloading for a couple of hours before it automatically disconnects. Am wondering if it has anything to do with idle time as the search switches from one user to another. Any opinions on this? Also, any clues as to how this type of information can be accessed, and how rules or options relating to this can be changed? |

![]() Looked into ISP side of things, but that doesn't seem to be the problem. When Limeware drops out, I am not losing my internet connection even though that is what the program is telling me is the problem. Am wondering if the problem is with the Limeware program in that it is assuming if there is a certain amount of idle time (say 2 minutes) then it needs to disconnect. Don't know if I am explaining things properly, but seems to me that it is a problem with the software and not my computer or the XP program. Thanks for your input. |
