Can't connect

I'm a new user to both the P2P networking and using these forums for help. I'm hoping my problen is a simple fix but I can't connect. One suggestion was to reset my connection settings but for some reason the numbered IP address automatically changes to read win something. I told you I was an amature!! Does anybody know what's going on and how to fix my problem?

It would help if you would advise if you are using a Mac or Windows?

Which OS?

Which version of LimeWire you are having a problem with?

Are you using LimeWire Pro or the free version?

Still not connecting

OOPs,

I should have mentioned that. I'm on Windows XP and I have upgraded to Limewire Pro.

Connection problems w/Norton Firewall

If you have connection problems, configured your port, and still can't connect ----- You have to go to the Norton Personal Firewall and Configure --- Programs, Add javaw.exe and Permit All.
