![]() yo i just recently purchased Limewire for 18.88 and can't fully connect on it to the network the day i bought it the smallest bar would turn green and say its connecting but eventually it wouldnt fully connect- i have a computer with very very good hardware + AOL 9.0 dial-up connection+ McAfee security system (but no firewall). The next day the smallest bar wouldn't even turn green- i tried a bunch of different ways to solve this from the posted threads and im pretty sure i did them correctly but nothing happened i still can't get connected. it would be very greatful if someone could sent me a solution, and be very specific about it thank you very much for helping me |

![]() Hey, This is not an answer to your problem, but I thought it was worth mentioning that I am having the exact same problem!!! I too have tried many things too to make the connection better and nothing seems to make a difference! I am a little upset about it because I am not getting my money's worth that is 4 sure! So I am in the same boat as you, so if anyone out there knows what we can do to get the connection to work better let us know! I had the old version of Lime Wire and upgraded to the new one and it does not make any difference, I still get either "poor" or "connecting" indications the whole time! So any info would be much appreciated! Thanx! |

![]() Hello again, I have got a little info... I found out that maybe our PC's are filtering Gnutella's traffic. If so this will cause some friction. So we need to make sure our PC's are not filtering/blocking port 6346. Not sure how this is done but I will do some more tinkering and if I find out I will let you know! Let me know if yo find out anything yourelf too. Also anyone else that may be reading this and know of some helpful advice, please tell away! I am interested in any info ragarding this. Anyway, talk to you soon... ![]() Last edited by keauto; July 8th, 2004 at 08:31 AM. |
