connection trouble
 

i've had limewire running for over 6 months with no problem but suddenly, i can't get connected. any ideas?

Have you added anything new (hardware or software) to your system?

A firewall, a router or any kind of program that controls internet access?

Reloaded or updated IE or Netscape?

Updated Java?

If using XP did you turn on XP's firewall?

no i haven't added any hardware or made any changes (knowingly). i used limewire in the morning for the first time in months, it worked but wouldn't work later that day. i have XP, a wireless router but no other firewall installed.

I can't figure out what might have caused your problem.

If it was me I would probably try XP's system restore to see if that would cure it. Set your system back to the day before the problems started. You can always undo it.

If you aren't familiar with "system restore" go to - START, ACCESSORIES, SYSTEM TOOLS, SYSTEM RESTORE.
