Default Limewire behind Router Firewall

Hello folks,

I've installed Limewire on a Windows 2k box, behind a D-link DL-704 router. Although I have no problems downloading from other users, no one ever pulls my files, although I'm sharing 3GB of data.

Could my built in firewall be stopping incoming file requests?

And if so, how best should I configure the firewall so the rest of the community can pull data from me?

The Special ap configuration of my firewall asks for a "Trigger" and "Incoming ports"

Thanks for any help you may provide!

Default Not Sure

I do not have a firewall set up on my system, but I know there is feature in LW that helps overcome firewall limitations. Once LW is open, go to Tools>Options. Click on the Advanced tab, and there is a section called "Force Local IP". In this sections, you can manually enter your IP address. Make sure to check the "Force IP" box. Hope this helps!

Yo have to set up your firewall so it will accept connections from the Internet to port 6346 (in and out), map this port to your private IP of the computer running LimeWire, and set up LimeWire to Force IP with you public IP. This works for me with the ADSL router.
