Disable Ultrapeer Function No longer Works Strange problem, I don' t know what happened. For some reason now, when I check off the disable ultrapeer box in the speed menu, nothing changes. Usually when the ultrapeer is checked off, I get fewer connections. Now, I get the same amount of connections and my I/O speeds are always the same. I don't know what to do. All I do is usually toggle between ultrapeer on or ultrapeer disabled. That's it! Now I'm getting fewer connections all the time no matter what I do. Please, advise |
From you r post, I cant' really tell if you want Ultrapeer or not. Well, supposing that you do want to be one, just enable Ultrapeer and wait. I have it always enabled, but Limewire only truly activates it when you have a Turbo charged connection, meaning that you become an ultrapeer when you are connected to 3 or more Ultrapeers. That's why you have to wait for Limewire to establish a more stable connection. |
Ultrapeer Yeah, I usually leave it enabled(unchecked) but now, for some reason, I can't even get turbocharged. Until a few days ago I could. I used to get turbocharged with 5 seconds of connecting...not any more. That's part of the problem. Now whether the ultrapeer is checked on or off, the connections I'm getting are exactly the same. With ultrapeer enabled, I was like 10 connections, now I'm only getting 5. |
