Default Losing connection

I keep losing my connection to the hosts after several hours of operation. It will say "disconnected" in the bottom lower corner of Limewire. If i hit the "connect" button, it will slowly reconnect. I get kicked off the network at least once a day.

My DSL is stable. I have software which logs each time the interent connection is lost. The computer has been rebooted many times and I'm running Limewire 1.6 on windows 2000.

Thanks,

Buck

I see no one has replied to your post, so I am replying to tell you that the same thing is happening to me. It's almost as if the software "tires out" after a couple hours of being on and just refuses to connect to the network.

You'll see my query about the same problem under "Can't connect lately". No one replied....maybe if I had used computerese instead of ordinary English

Apologies for our lack of reply. We are looking into this issue further, and we should have an improved LimeWire available quite shortly. It is possible that all of the hosts who you are connected to simply are leaving the network eventually, in which case there is not very much we can do about it.

I experience the same problem...

After running lime wire for a couple of hours to a day it disconnects to the network. I think the problem lies in the hosts I connect to which leave the network, but why doesn't LimeWire search for new hosts as I told the program to keep approx. x connections alive?

I think LimeWire should try to find new hosts when the connection to a certain host is lost and it doesn't do this very well.

Sincerely,
Patrick Holthuizen
