Default Desperate Need of Sum Assistance!

alright i finally got around to downloading Lime Wire and of course I can't connect. I do have an external Firewall (Linksys). I did look on previous posts on about how to fix the problem i.e. deleting the lime wire folder, disabling connection on start up, etc. I hope im not contributing to the flooding of same questions but I didn't find anything specific to this. Thanx in advance and hopefully i can contribute to Lime Wire.

Well u haven't really given much/any detail about your comp/connection. How are we supposed to sort out a jigsaw with only a few pieces.
Quote of Murasami: When LW is open, click Tools->Options and then go to Bug report and click for an example. In the window that appears scroll down to the part that says: "Recieved incoming this session". If it says true then LW has no problem with firewalls (meaning that it has no problem connecting and stuff).
If on the other hand it says false, then maybe XP's firewall is on (or maybe another). In this case, you can configure your firewall (follow this link: http://www.limewire.com/english/content/firewalls.shtml ) so that it will permit LW to fully access the net without forcing you to disable the firewall.
Hope this helps.
