How do I become a Ultrapeer?

In the last two months that I have had LW pro, I have only been a ultra peer once and I have gotten awesome upload and downloads while I was a UP. How does LW determine weather I should be a Ultrepeer or a Leaf? Is there a way that I can always be a Ultrapeer? I usually have it open for at least 4 days at a time and I have a T3 connection. I though that would be enough to be a Ultrapeer, but I am always connecting as a Leaf, which I think sucks. Any suggestions????

And yes I do have it set to be a Ultrapeer in the settings.....

You won't become an ultrapeer if LimeWire thinks you are firewalled.

So do I have to turn off the XP firewall in order to become a Ultrapeer? That seems a little bit silly. So was it just a fluke that I was a Ultrapeer that one time? There has to be something else that is keeping me from being a Ultrapeer. Any ideas on how to force LW to make me a Ultrapeer??

Forcing ultrapeer mode is not a good idea. If your LW doesn't become an ultrapeer automatically it's simply not fit to act as an ultrapeer.

Why woluldn't forcing it into a Ultrapeer be a good idea? Considering that I have a 2.6Ghz CPU and a T3 connection, I would think that I would be a good source for being a Ultrapeer. Could you be more detailed on why that it isn't a good idea? If the specs are not good enough to be a Ultrapeer, what would make a station a good canidate for being a Ultrapeer? I am still fuzzy on how it chooses who should be a Ultrapeer and who should be leaf.

LimeWire, while acting as an ultrapeer, relies on certain capabilities, - like for example that you can accept incoming TCP connections. If you can't accept incoming connections you will not be able to maintain more than half the number of connections needed to have a decent search performance.

In addition, many ultrapeers of that kind would be bad for the network.
