![]() Hello everyone, I am running windows XP Pro, with comcast cable. I have been running Limewire for about 3 yrs now with no trouble until now. Just recently I've noticed that I can't connect at all, in fact my internet connection starts to slow down and eventually crashes my cable modem. This never used to happen, I'm thinking comcast is engaged in a secret campagin to stop P2P file sharing by tweaking your modem. So here is what I'm going to do, its a little experiment to determine whether the fault is with my computer or Comcast. I will unplug the ethernet cable from my router to my computer, I will connect to the interent via my dial up backup (Netzero) and attempt to connect to Limewire. If I am successful then all indications point to Comcast or my Old cable modem as the culprit otherwise the culprit rests with either Limewire or my computer. I will keep everyone informed. John G. |
