how to direct connect
 

If i want to direct connect w/ someone..how to i find
a. there ip address or
b. give them mine

i know my local, but i don't know how to find the shared one

There is two ways to good ways to find your IP address. The first is to go to the command prompt (Start>Accessories>command prompt (I assume you are useing window$ XP, but since you didn't say I have to guess.)) and type 'ipconfig' without the quotes of course, and press enter. The other is to double click on the active connection icon in the icon tray in the lower right corner of the screen (you know, the two little monitors). From there click on the details tab and look for client IP at the end of the list. Tell your friend to do the same and you will have a quick and easy direct connection. Good luck.
