I can't Connect
 

Everytime i try to run limewire, it opens and it says connecting in the bottom left corner for a long time, but it never goes up, and sometimes goes back to disconnected. I have Windows XP and i am always on AOL when i try to connect. Why wont it connect. PLEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

you might need to turn your firewall off
 

your firewall might be on you need to adjust it to permitt it might be on blocked. try that

I did turn my firewall off and it still didn't work

When LW is open, click Tools->Options & go to Bug report & click for an example. In the window that appears scroll down to the part that says: "Recieved incoming this session". If it says ‘True’ then LW has no problem with firewalls, but if 'False' it does have a prob. In any case see these threads:

If you have Win XP then do you have SP2. If yes, search SP2 on the forum using the search button at top-right. SP2 has caused numerous connection issues with lots of people. There's more than one solution but they don't all solve everybody's probs. One might.
