![]() I have been given a specific host domain that I want to connect to. I have tried adding both the domain, and pinging the ip so I can use the ip #'s. However, I get "connecting", and sometimes a count of a few seconds before it is dropped. I am running the latest version of Limewire for Mac Classic, with OS 9.2.1, on an iMac from home. I'd tell you what the Limewire version is, but it quits every time I try to get into the Apple Menu, and the Info command doesn't offer anything useful. According to the owner of the domain, everything is working on his end. Any ideas? ![]() |

![]() I know *how* to find the version. It keeps crashing when I go to do so. ![]() I am trying to connect to a specific person. He says his server is working fine. Is it Limewire? I can connect to the network in general just fine.::sigh:: I'm about ready to give up. ![]() |

![]() As you know by now, Apple, LW and others have given up on Java for OS 9 already. A crash caused by clicking on the About Box (or any Menu) used to indicate an Extensions conflict: disabling FaxStF extensions was one solution. Try running with a minimum set of extensions. Otherwise, just avoid that menu. Switching to OS X is really the solution. What program/OS is your friend running? Maybe your friend could email you a magnet of the file you want. Otherwise you should be able to find each other's files by sharing a unique file and searching for it. |
