i did everithing...still can't connect!!!HELP!!!
 

MY GREAT P2P LW WORKED WELL, (EVEN I GOT BITDEFENDER INSTALLED) UNTILL THAT UPDATE CALLED SERVICE PACK 2 XP WAS ISTALLED IN MY PC.SINCE THEN I COULDN'T CONNECT LW.I GUESS I TRIED EVERYTHING: I ADDED THE 2 GNUTELLA CONECTION PORTS, I SET BIT DEFENDER AND FIREWALL CONFIGURATION TO ALLOW LIMEWIRE AND JAVAW TO BE USED...EVEN REMOVED LW PREFERENCES AND RESTARTED MY LW...AND I EVEN UNINSTALLED AND REINSTALLED LW. I HOPE TO BE HELPED. IN SPITE OF THIS I THINK LW IS THE BEST P2P PROGRAM.....SOME USEFUL THING TO SAY: IN LW DEBUG REPORTS STILL APPEARS "RECEIVED INCOMING THIS SESSION" AS "FALSE" WHY? LPZ HELP!!!!:confused: :confused: :confused:

BESIDES THE ACTIONS I TOOK BEFORE, I ALSO TURNED WINDOWS FIREWALL OFF.......SO, NORM YOU KNOW IT NOW........STILL CAN'T CONNECT.!!!!!!!!!

Service pack 2 is causing a lot of problems especially with Java applications.

If you have looked through this thread without any luck - http://www.gnutellaforums.com/showth...threadid=28437

Then I think I would do a system restore to a date before SP2. If you aren't familiar with that feature go to - Start, All Programs, Accessories, System tools, System restore and choose a date prior to SP2.

i can`t connect nor download...
 

Hi pals....I swer i did everything: checked firewalls, uninstal-reinstall limewire, trashed preferences, installed 2 ports 6346 gnutella, desabled firewalls....etc. And i still get the bug report message "received incoming this session: false" . I even downloaded and installed a patch suggested here, wich was installed automatically in dos mode (i think that's correct). I restarted and tried everything...but the best i get is a POOR quality, and even so i can't download a thing.....:( i need your help....THANK YOU FOR YOUR COOPERATION....

This might not be any help but have a look at my suggestions in http://www.gnutellaforums.com/showth...threadid=29665 It may well be an SP2 issue. You could search SP2 on the forum b/c some people came up with their own solutions that fixed theirs & others but not everybody's problems. Strange the way that happens, but then SP2 also hasn't affected everybody either.
