 direct connect works some of the time. why? hey. im using the pro beta version w/ the direct connect option and have tried to connect to several of my buddies with the beta version and all we get is the " unable to browse host" message. any help would be cool.  |

 Make sure your Chat is enabled in your LW options/prefs. Also create a file that only you all have & give it a unique name. Searching & locating this file will help you to connect, particularly f you'e not using the beta version which does hve the direct connect search funtion. |

| also, if the upload slots are filled, the friends won't be able to connect. Firewall settings can also block incoming connections. The best time to DC is when no one is uploading from you, so all the slots are free. still, there may be problems with DC and browse host, so if you can get some reliable info on the conditions when it works or doesn't, post it in the beta forum: it could be useful.
