Connection Quality Lord of the rings. I still cant get connected and i now know its not my routers problem. As when i shutdown my router i still cant connect. Theirfore its the program itself and plus i called my routers company and asked them what i could do within the router. The said once i set the DMZ to my computer its not the routers fault. So something else is stopping it. If u could email me ur phone number maybe i could try to get ahold of u and talk and u can help me out? my email is *** Thanks meeksy2001 Sorry meeksy2001 we can't post our personal details in forum posts. Salut Meeksy, there are two possibilities: 1) SP2 is the problem 2) The router config is the problem To test wether it is 1) or 2) To test if 1) is the problem: Connect to the internet directly from the modem (unplug the router). If you can't connect and you think everything in Sp2 should be rightly configured, I suggest you to uninstall Sp2 in add/remove programs. Sp2 is a bitch. If it is not windows XP or firewall, the router is not well configured. I would reread that thread LOTR posted http://www.gnutellaforums.com/showth...291#post106291 Port forwarding is much more secure and better then DMZ, also, it works better at *really* opening ports. Bonne chance!
