I give up!! I like limewire, but I don't have the time to do what it takes to make it work. I think it should be simple, not difficult.
I'm going to search for a new file share program.

Good luck. Strange thing is that all p2p apps use particular ports (Most Gnutella apps use port 6346.) So you may do better with another app, maybe not. So many people enjoy LW. And of those that have those similar problems of being blocked from the network are willing to go to the efforts of sorting it out. You never did tell me what firewalls you have. Have you considered that your boss may have found out you were using p2p & put a block on it via the network admin. or isp. The fact that you are suddenly 'now' TOTALLY blocked from port 6346 sounds 'highly' suspicious!!! They may have been monitoring your net activities. And when they saw you dwnld a new version... just a thought.
