Whilst LW has been running for say 30 to 60 mins, do this test: Bug Report instructions & sample image & tell us whether it says True or False.

Received incoming this session: true

and then.. what !?

Lord of the Rings November 25th, 2004 06:46 AM

Update your java: http://www.java.com/en/download/windows_automatic.jsp

Do you use the Resume button on your files? Although it can be very effective, it's not wise to do it on too many files at one time. Otherwise each file will seek out every few mins & you end up having files that are queued for much, much longer than normal & can play havoc with your connection quality.

yeah,, i use the resume for download, but i dont do it that often, the first time i dl LW, it was straight to excellent quality, but now its always fair, and sometimes changes too,, oh yea,, i tried updating the java from mozzila firefox,, it didnt work, but i tried using the IE it works,, is there anything between them !? i mean does the firefox crashes with LW !? oh btw thanks for your help LOTR,, :)

Lord of the Rings November 25th, 2004 07:54 AM

I don't know about firefox! There is such a possibility. Odd that you had difficulty with the java update thru firefox!

Have you thought about doing a system check & also defragmenting your HDD.

ok,, last time things were going on excellent, but then, until.. I started dl-ing like about 10 songs,, i left it.. and my comp hangs.. dunno why. So, after i reboot, LW starts to connect and takes so long. And it wont even connect.

got any Ideas boss ~?

1 more thing,, the "Receive Incoming Session : False"

it changed by itsself,, before it was True,, now its false.. what i know is when it says false, it means that its blocked by a firewall. hmmm, but i dont remember changing anything to it. and whats the correct IP for the LW !? for the "force IP"
is it 6346 or 6348 !?
My listen on Port is 6346
and my force ip is 6346

does it matters !?

Lord of the Rings December 3rd, 2004 02:49 AM

All port settings should use 6346. Leave LW on for some time before you do the bug report. Allow LW to settle down 1st.

You might want to updte your LW to 4.2.4

Here's ome hints on optimising LW: A well set-up LW can start to automatically continue its dwnlding after it's settled down perhaps 2 out of 3 times you open LW. Optimising LW & Maximising Uplds & Dwnlds A (1st post only) & also Part B which is even better & last & least are search & dwnld hints.

but then,, it says in the forum that i should put my IP on the "Force IP Address" section in the Options. so,, what should i do ?

thx b4
