Connection

Yesterday I had no trouble searching. Today I get this message "LimeWire is currently connecting to the network. Your search may not return many results until you are fully connected to the network." That has been all day. What can I do?

1. Which OS version do you use? (eg: win 98)
2. What firewalls do you have? (eg: xp firewall)
3. Where are you connecting from (home, school, work, etc.)?
4. What type of conneciton do you have? (eg: dialup/broadband/cable)
5. What is the brand name & model number(s) of your modem & router? (eg: Linksys BEFW11S4-CA V2)

For now you can try by deleting LW's preferences folder called .limewire & found here: OS X: /Users/your_username/Library/Preferences/LimeWire

Windows: C:/Documents And Settings/your_username/.limewire
Linux: ~/.limewire

But only do it whilst LW is closed!!!

But beware, once you've deleted them you'll need to reset all your option settings. So it might be an idea to make a record of these before you delete the LW prefs.
