Hi Gravity 1. You will need to forward a port thru your modem-router to allow LW full access. I'm not sure about your exact model so I'll give you the 3 that are similar: A. Port Forwarding for the Alcatel SpeedTouch 510 v4.0 B. Port Forwarding for the Alcatel SpeedTouch 510 version 4.2 C. Port Forwarding for the Alcatel SpeedTouch 510 Alt Make sure you set up a Static IP. This is very important to do 1st otherwise the next time you log on your address will have changed & your port forwarding been in vain. Make sure you save all your settings. 2. You'll need to Force IP within LW: Force IP instructions & sample image 3. Make sure you have configured your firewalls to allow LW & Java access, including XP firewall if that's turned on: Firewall Instructions And for Configuring Norton Internet Security 4. Make sure your Java is up to date: Java 1.4.2 (click on link) 5. If you have followed all these steps correctly you should be able to connect well. Here's some hints on optimising LW: A well set-up LW can start to automatically continue its dwnlding after it's settled down perhaps 2 out of 3 times you open LW. Optimising LW & Maximising Uplds & Dwnlds A (1st post only) & also Part B which is even better & last & least are search & dwnld hints. The latter one I've been thinking about re-writing for some time. That's just for playing it safe. eg- I show all speeds & qualities. |

Xcellent. But all the same, you haven't allowed for total LW access. People will definitely have major problems uplding from you. Thus less connection power on your end. One way to check is to do this test: Bug Report instructions & sample image If it says True then all's not too bad. But if it says False, then LW is being at least partially blocked. You can always come back to my 1st post to correct those issues. The answers are there!!! |
