Hey dar.

At first i couldn't connect at all, now that i've followed all your bits and bobs i connect, and i connect, and i wait. Its constantly connecting and constantly on that one green bar. If you can't help me could you give me a link where i can download 4.0.4 again? Thats worked better.

Did you, maybe, also download the SP2 pack?
Did you try trashing your Limewire preferences folder?

I am having the exact same problem. I've opened every port I can find, I've deleted the preference foulder, but still no avail. The program is perpetually connecting, but it never (hours plus) moves past the first green bar. Any help would be appreciated.

I have pretty much the same stats as the guy above... windows XP home etc.

You say SP2, meaning Windows Service Pack 2? I'm not with you. I've got that already i think anyway.

If you've read around for the problems that can create SP 2 (at least as far as P2P are concerned) then you'd know that the Windows firewall is activated with the upgrade.
In other words check if you have aany firewall active that may be blocking LW.

Did you do the bug report? What did it say? True or False?
