![]() I use a D-Link but not a wireless one. Can you ell us the model no. of this router? It will most likely erquire port forwarding which will open port 6346 for LW. I can give you instructions if I know the model. Which Operating System version do you use? Do you have SP2 installed? How much ram do you have? If you're a windows user try these one by one: 1. Update your Java version 1.5 (take the JRE) 2. Delete the LW Preferences folder called .limewire (whilst LW is closed!) & found here: Windows NT 4.0 / 2000 / XP: C:/Documents And Settings/your_username/.limewire OR Windows 98 / ME: Your .limewire folder is in "C:\My Documents" 3. Repair LimeWire using the Add/Remove Programs utility. Go to Control Panel then Add/Remove Programs & click on Limewire on the Change/Remove button & it comes up with options and one of them is Repair. Try this. 4. Right-clicking the Limewire icon and going to properties and changed compatability setting to Windows 2000. |

![]() You will need to do port forwarding for your D-Link. 1. You will 1st need to set up a static ip (instructions are included) OK I'm not sure which version applies to you : DI-624 OR DI-624+ (you'll know once you see them.) 2. Do Port Forwarding using Port 6346 3. Force IP: Force IP instructions & sample image 4. Configure your firewalls to allow LW & Java full access: http://www.limewire.com/english/content/firewalls.shtml 5. Look carefully at my previous post & update your Java. Java is exremely important for LW. If you delete LW's Prefs foldre you'll need to reset LW's options so make a note of all your settings before you delete them. It would have been best to do that before force ip. |
