Connecting Problem under OS9.2
 
Hi. I`m user of limewire Pro 4.02. worked fine till system crash. after re-installation it will not connect.all the time in connecting quality. but still downloads older incomplete stuff!! but searching is impossible. Newest java version installed.i have nothing changed on my router.(dsl, netgear).

So did you have your router port forwarded in the 1st place? What model no. is it? Perhaps I can find instructions for you. Remember won't you, everytime you install softw you should re-build the Desktop file. That's important. Restart the comp whilst holding down both the apple & Option keys.

Also delete your LW prefs folder called .limewire & found at the top of your Preferences folder when you have it viewed in list order.

Netgear rp614v2. maybe adding a port forwarding service? remember, worked fine till crash..
did delete pref. nothing happend. still connecting.
restart now?

1. See Configuring your Netgear RP614 version 1 and version 2 for port forwarding but you must set up a static ip 1st! (instructions are included.) Use Port 6346

2. Force IP within LW: Force IP instructions & sample image

hmm. still the same. rebuild the desktopfolder of system volume and program volume. did delete .limewire. the routerthing too. norton virus is off, too. well..
