at home lime wire works good, but when I'm at my dorm at school, I cant seem to connect. I go to the firewall settings and set the gnutella settings but everytime i try to start lime wire it doesn't connect and the 127.... numbers disappear and changes to my network name. what do I do?

Search the word Dorm or dormitory or school on the forum. Dorms & schools have a habit of blocking p2p use. You can try force ip: Force IP instructions & sample image using port 6346 but there's no guarantees.

I suppose you could try a Proxy connection. I know nothing about them so can't direct you sorry.

Yu could try other port no.'s for lw. Else ask the network staff if they can help you.
