Question Quality:connecting "sharing 0 files"

What exactly is the problem here. I cannot connect, and the one time i did partially connect I only was connected to 125 files which presumably were my own.

Before it read:
Quality:connecting "sharing 125 files"

Now it reads:
Quality:connecting "sharing 0 files"

I went to the .limewire directory...deleted it as suggested. Please note I just purchased this, and it is the second time opening the program.

Also I went to this url and carried out the firewall fix... no luck http://www.limewire.com/english/content/firewalls.shtml

Please give me any advice you can.

thanks!

That no. is the amount of files you are sharing. When you 1st open LW it starts at zero, & as LW loads both the incomplete & shared files it increases until LW has finished accounting for them all. This can take some time depending on the no. of shared & incomplete files.

Always best to leave LW to settle before trying to do anything with it.

Update your Java: Java 1.5 (take the JRE)

A few more details would help!

Can you give us a total desciption of your set up:
1. OS version,
2. What firewalls you have,
3. ram, 4. HDD space available,
5. Connection type,
6. Modem & router brand name & model numbers,
7. Where are you trying to connect from (home, school, work, etc.)?
These details are vital if you want us to find out what your connection problem is.
