Help! I think I am being attacked by spyware? Adware and IST
 

Hello all

I have recently joined using limeware pro and connect using windows xp. I use norton antivirus 2004 and it seems to be configured correctly (read the forum post). I connect via adsl using a wireless connection from British Telecom.

I also have Ad-awareSE, Spybot search and destroy to find potential threats.

The problem I have is that after I connect to limewire for a while it throws me out of any other of my browsers (internet explorer or firefox) and will not allow me to connect to the internet. when I try to open explorer it tries to detect my proxy settings and then go to www.hotsearchbar.com?

When I run one of my spyware search engines I always find Adware Bargain Buddy and ISearchTech problems on my computer. This only happens when I use Limewire. Am I doing something wrong? Can I close down some of ports to block intrusions or configure norton to block these? If so how please!
