Limewire loses connection and crashes computer.

I have the latest JRE and limewire 4.6.0. After about 10 mins, Limewire would say unable to find an internet connection and when i try to shut it down, my taskbar is locked and nothing else will run. This happened to the previous version of limewire. Any suggestions?
