 Limewire seemingly breaking internet connection! I've been SCOURING the forums for perhaps a good solid hour, and I'm fairly sure I've not seen a solution to this one. Specs: Limewire v4.6 Java 1.5 (or whatever latest is..updated yesterday) WINXP AMD processor Windows Firewall ISP = COMAST Okay, I CLEANLY install limewire, get the new download (yay-rah!). However, when I connect, it shows me as TURBOCHARGED (OOHH EEMM GGGEE). This, you would think, would be a good thing, right ? WRONG. I can't access any search results, cannot connect to anything, can't load a web page, can't get on anything. MY CONNECTION DIES!! Then I'll close limewire completely, and after a good solid 2-3 minutes. Boom bang, here comes my internet connection. Back again. This is frustrating, I can't fix it, tried putting in 6436 or w/e the port number is on WinFireWall, but to NO avail. For the love of god, save a potential WinMX user...  |
