Question Two LimeWire hosts behind a UPnP NAT Firewall / Router

Hi.

I am lucky enough to share my neighbours 3M broadband service.
For some time I have been using LimeWire and suggested to my neighbour that he ought to purchase a copy.

My question is, will I need to modify my listening port on my PC when two LimeWire hosts reside behind the UPnP NAT Firewall / Router?

Of would the NAT features on the UPnP NAT Firewall / Router translate two unique internal hosts both listening on the default port?

Finally, if I modify my listening port, will I have a reduced number of potential connection peers?

Kind regards, Craig.

For your last question then are you considering forwarding a port for each computer? It shouldn't make any difference to performance. As far as UPnP goes, it should work fine. However if you have forwarded a port then you should use manual force ip within LW; see: Force IP instructions & sample image & 2 posts after that.

Of course you'd need a static ip if you're going to do any port forwarding.
