![]() So I've tried to download Lime Wire a few times but to no avail. I watch in the connections section as it tries to connect. Ive tried downloading V. 7 and the Java version. I've looked all the other posts and tried their stuff. People who I've spoken to around here are convinced that its Windows ME. Im not so easily convinced. Any suggestions? |

![]() I am using Mac OS 8.5 and AOL 5.0 with Limewire 1.4b. I was connected yesterday morning. Then since mid day yesterday I have not been able to connect. Limewire starts up, then I check for connection and Limewire runs through a couple of hosts. It says "connecting" then it just stops and the host information disappears. Also, I was not able to get Limewire 1.7 to work. Is it not compatible with AOL 5.0? I got the message "Unable to launch java application" |

![]() I'm running into the same issues as described above - Limewire 1.9 on Mac OS 9.02 was moving files like a dream this AM, and since this evening, the Connect button has gone unresponsive - nothing changed on my system of its configurations. There is nothing going on in the connection dialouges. I've run through all in the suggestions in the FAQ's - even tried running the thing with the Contextual Menu extension ON rather than the usual OFF, and no response either way. At least two friends in the area on similar Mac set ups are seeing the same problem. |

![]() Experiencing the exact same connection problems all afternoon as described above. Is the network temporarily down? I've been traveling since late July, but as I recall I had similar problems with 1.6 in early Summer. Back in the Spring of 2001 1.4 worked like a charm. Comments? Perhaps a flood of new Gnutella users is causing network problems... Location: Seattle, WA ISP: AT&T @Home System: OS 8.6 Limewire: 1.7 |

![]() When the connections tab is selected once Limewire starts up, here it shows the first autoconnect hosts address in the "Host" column and in the "Status" column reads "Connecting". After no response proceeds to the next address and so on down the list. After trying all then nothing is displayed in the window, and the connect button has no response. The only time 1.7's able to attempt connecting is directly after startup. Running mac OS 9.1 and Limewire version 1.7. .....hope this helps, thanks Team! MrCharlie |
