Thumbs down Help!!??

oke guys here is my problem .... ..... ....
When I've installed limewire (pro or not) and I open limewire you see the loading screen .... then I see the next page ... I can see that he is trying to connect but after 1 or 2 seconds limewhire just shut down without a warning or something the program is just GONE

I have windows XP SP2
Norton antivirus 2005

I already tried opening ports gonfiguring xp firewall and i've also configured norton.

And I have updated my JAVA....

so if you guys can help me out then you rock

I can think of 2 quick fixes (with any luck). Delete LW's preferences folder whilst LW is closed; instructions: Fixes for Limewire

If that doesn't work, re-install Java 1.5 (save installer to computer & keep a backup of it), reboot computer & try again.

By the way is this the 1st time you've used LW? Have you had earlier problems?

Limewire never worked at all ...
tried different versions also

I did all the things you said but still limewire shuts down. .... but i noticed 1 thing ... when there is no internet connection limewire stays open. But as soon as he connects he shut down

maybe you can help me now??

I was trying to open LW over and over again ... but first I thought he was shutting down when there was a connection .... but the last thing I can read in the loading bar at the bottem was something with digital audio ********* something like that

so that is the prob I think

In LimeWire tools>options>iTunes>sharing ---- try disabling, unchecking the boxes ----- click apply then okay

Just a thought
